Dr. Kevin Muchiri founded The SUMMIT after recognizing a critical gap in mentorship on college campuses — particularly for first-generation students of color navigating academic and professional journeys without adequate guidance or networks.
Understanding that mentorship is a game-changer, he created a holistic program designed to empower students beyond academics with leadership, resilience, and career readiness for long-term success.
His work spans The SUMMIT Foundation, keynote speaking, and leadership development. The movement began at Old Dominion University’s Batten College of Engineering and Technology. Organizational structure.
