Trust & transparency update for donors and partners

We refreshed thesummitfoundations.org so mentors, students, researchers, and donors can verify who we are and how we measure impact.

What’s new

• Impact & outcomes — metric definitions and links to ODU’s official mentoring listing.
• Transparency & governance — legal identity, PayPal Giving Fund (ID 5166462), and name clarity (not SUMMIT-P).
• Donor trust checklist — due diligence before major gifts.
• Privacy policy — how we handle application and newsletter data.

Campus footprint

Our primary hub remains Old Dominion University, where The SUMMIT is listed as an official peer mentoring program. We welcome Hampton Roads students and mentors from other campuses; we no longer imply formal university partnerships unless a current agreement is on file.
